   The Art of Ceremony and Ritual

Susanna   Macomb,  well known author, speaker and interfaith minister will be the  opening speaker at  our AWAIC conference 2013 with the art of ceremony  and ritual—how we can best personalize these major rites of passage-making them extraordinary and completely reflective of the  people they serve.  Susanna will also address interfaith, intercultural ceremonies.  Done properly, an interfaith service is an enlightening  unifying experience rooted in love and respect. Macomb is fond of  saying, “Two traditions, twice blessed!”


Rev. Susanna Stefanachi Macomb is the author of Joining Hands and Hearts, Interfaith, Intercultural Wedding Celebrations and Bless This Child, A Comprehensive Guide to Creating Baby Blessing Ceremonies.  Considered   a pioneer and expert in personalized interfaith, intercultural  ceremonies, she has created and performed hundreds of extraordinary  ceremonies for people from an amazing variety of backgrounds for the  past 17 years.  Her work has been featured on television, radio, web  media and in print including, but not limited to New York Magazine, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, New York Magazine, Publishers Weekly, Readers Digest,  Modern Bride, Martha Stewart Weddings, Pregnancy Magazine, NPR, TLC,  ABC News, CNN, and MSNBC.  As an artist, her paintings have been exhibited in spiritual and cultural centers internationally.  She lives in NYC with her husband and son.
