Kiddush and anointing for baby blessings

Posted on: October 9th, 2018 by Susanna

At this interfaith baby blessing we combined the kiddush, the Jewish blessing of the wine, with an anointing taught to me by Rabbi Gelberman, where the baby is given lemon juice, for life will sometimes be bitter, and then honey (sugar water), for sometimes life will be sweet, then a drop of wine is placed on the babies lips, for whether bitter or sweet, it is up to us to partake in life’s richness and give it meaning.

Gorgeous children

Will you just look at these gorgeous children?!  I had the honor of performing Big Sister’s  baptism at All Souls Unitarian Church a few years back, and soon to be doing Little Sis’s baby blessing ceremony.  One of great joys is watching these beautiful children grow.  Thank you Rhe for sending the photo.   I love you and your family!   God bless you all. unnamed (1)

Juliette’s Baby Naming Baptismal Certificate

How beautiful is this baby naming baptismal certificate created

by Juliette’s Aunt!    For her ceremony we incorporated both Jewish

and Catholic rituals,  chosen by her parents, as always.   This is the

third baby blessing that I have had the honor of performing for this

wonderful family.

Rev. Macomb speaking at AWAIC conference

Posted on: October 23rd, 2017 by Susanna

Hello All,

If you are in the Baltimore area the weekend of November 10-12,  I will be speaking at the 2017 conference for A World Alliance of Interfaith Clergy at the Retreat and Conference Center at Bon Secours in Marriotsville, MD.  Fifty per cent of the attendees are not clergy, but people from all walks of life seeking to spiritually connect.  So join us!

Here is the link and info:

“Discovering the Next Steps in Your Spiritual Life Path” Rev. Susanna Stefanachi Macomb

The Universe calls us to grow and evolve if we listen within to the part of us that is One with the Source of All Being and then act upon it. Discover the next steps in your spiritual life’s path. Bring paper, crayons and pens or pencils.

This is a process that has guided, informed, healed and transformed my life for over 30 years— and one that I have taught to others.   I attended and spoke at the conference in 2014,  so I can personally attest that the retreat venue is beautiful and the people who attend are wonderful.
